We would like to thank very much Koru Care Southland & sponsors for the chance for our daughter to go on such an awesome trip of a life time. She had a wonderful time and we are very grateful for the time involved to organise this trip and the care shown to the kids while in America and traveling.

It’s really great you are able to provide such wonderful experiences for children that have had or have got on going medical problems. It’s nice to see that they get something so great to remember and enjoy it enables them to have something positive from something that has not usually been a good experience.

But the best thing of all from a mums point of view is that our son has grown so much from his big trip away. Only 4 weeks after getting home he is staying overnight at a friends house for the very 1st time! He has been away from home all day, had tea with the friends family, and has grown in confidence to stay overnight.

Having a chronic illness can cause stress for everyone concerned and it was good to know our son was being looked after. This knowledge enabled us to enjoy the break and spend some one on one time with our daughter.
