USA Trip 2012
On 24th August, 10 children along with 6 caregivers, headed off to the USA for a fun filled 2 weeks.
After an amazing flight with the Air New Zealand flight crew giving us extra special treatment, we arrived in Los Angeles.
We visited Shamu at Sea World in San Diego, and spent 4 magical days in Disneyland and California Adventure Park. Everyone especially enjoyed Breakfast with Minnie and Friends, and all the cool characters and rides.
Universal Studios were a hit with all of us, and Knotts Berry Farm and all its BIG scary rides was awesome. Our visit to the US Coastguard, and the display they put on for us was amazing.
We were all a little bit challenged by the hot weather, most days in the mid to late 30s! Thank goodness for the Hotel Pool, we certainly made the most of it, and had lots of fun times in the pool area.
The food was Yummy, the shopping was a shopaholics dream. And the beaches were so cool.
We were a very happy group, many of us doing some 'Firsts' and loving every minute of it. The children have made some lifelong friends, and will never forget their 'Trip of a Lifetime' and all the memories they have to treasure.
